Open Space Ranger and Maintenance Specialist
Town of Eagle Open Space

The Town of Eagle Open Space and Trails Department is excited to announce that we are hiring an Open Space Ranger and Maintenance Specialist. This new position will involve conducting regular patrols of trails and open space properties, as well as implementing the Town’s maintenance programs for trails and open spaces.
This highly public-facing position combines trail maintenance, resource protection, public education, and regulation enforcement to ensure the preservation and enjoyment of Eagle’s treasured open spaces. As a limited commission officer, this position enforces specific provisions of the Eagle Municipal Code, requiring excellent judgment and communication skills.

Park Rangers provide enforcement of the rules and ordinances, as well as natural resource protection and preservation, while ensuring public safety for regional parks system.

Seasonal Park Ranger
Denver Parks and Recreation

Denver Parks and Recreation (DPR) has multiple ranger positions to fill, in various districts, with various shift work. Working as a seasonal park ranger with DPR is a great way to kick start your career. DPR offers competitive pay ($24.00/hr), a flexible 4x10 work week, and most importantly a chance to work with a great team. These positions, budget dependent, typically work 10-11 months out of the year 39hrs/week. Our ranger team is trained and skilled in enforcing park rules and regulations with a high emphasis on de-escalatory and trauma informed practices. These positions are for those seeking unique challenges including assisting vulnerable members of our community getting connected with resources. We pride ourselves on being creative problem solvers and highly responsive to community complaints while addressing complex situations.

Park Ranger I

The City of Aurora is hiring for a full-time park ranger that will patrol two reservoirs, 102 urban parks, over 100 miles of trails, and more than 8000 acres of open space. General duties include enforcement of park regulations, responding to emergencies, resource protection, and providing quality customer service to open space and park users.

Limited Commission Ranger
City of Boulder Open Space and Mountain Parks
Open Dates: Jan 17th- Feb 7th 

Temporary (9-12 month) position serving the visitors of the City of Boulder’s Open Space and Mountain Parks by providing Limited Commission public safety, natural resource management, and environmental education through code enforcement and visitor contacts (both educational and informational).  Provides assistance in emergency medical response, and search and rescue response, including proactive patrol and responding to calls for service.  Works with partner agencies to provide the community of Boulder and its visitors with exemplary customer service.

Chatfield Farms Ranger (Safety/Security Supervisor) 
Denver Botanic Gardens at Chatfield Farms
Hiring range: $25-$31.14/hr

Denver Botanic Gardens at Chatfield Farms is hiring a Safety and Security Supervisor! This position, while titled "Security", will operate much more like a park ranger than a security guard. That is because Chatfield Farms is a 700 acre open space/native plant refuge, with all the challenges that come with that! This position will oversee the Security and Custodial duties at the site. This will include patroling the open space area and enforcing rules, engaging in wildlife management such as rattle snake removal, educate the public on trail conditions/wildlife conflicts, ensure custodial duties are completed, oversee contracted security during large events, assist with cleaning trash, assist with identifying invasive species of plants, respond to basic medical calls, and be a positive presence on site.

Natural Areas Trail Ranger

Description:
The City of Fort Collins is on watch for a full-time Natural Areas Trail Ranger who will patrol and assist visitors in some of our 52 conserved habitats which include prairies, foothills, waterways, and forests. These properties are a treasure to the community. The Natural Areas Trail Ranger provides visitor and staff safety, assistance, and education, as well as enforcement of applicable municipal codes. The Natural Areas Trail Ranger coordinates internally and externally with other Departments and teams to coordinate planning, management policy, maintenance projects, and address possible trail closures. The Natural Areas Trail Ranger patrols in a variety of ways, including on foot, on bicycle, or in a marked patrol vehicle.
